Tom Kearney

Head Honcho & Swiss Army Knife

Hi I’m Tom Kearney, the new guardian of Escape Adventures NZ alongside my wife Jamiee.  We live on a small block of land in Staveley, New Zealand with our 3 children Molly, Fred and Otis . We have been in business together for over 12 years. These businesses have ranged from preschools, farming and specialty Agri businesses servicing New Zealand. We are a kiwi family who enjoys our sport, an adventure and spending time outdoors, in the snow or the water and take advantage of the amazing tracks and walks our local region has to offer whenever we can. Jaimee and I were both late starters in the travel world. We have developed a passion for this over the years and have enjoyed travelling around the world as a family.

All these roads have led us to Escape Adventures. The search for a business that provides enjoyment has ended! While that may be simplifying things, it is true…

We want to enjoy our time in business and time spent well with others. We want our Escape Adventures crew and cycle tour guides to enjoy their time working in the business and we want all our clients past, present and future to enjoy the experiences we all provide.

SMALL GROUPS

When we say small, we mean up to 12 people only.  That lets us focus on you and your unique holiday, and not on a big unwieldy group of cyclists.

Expert Leaders

All our cycle tours are led by two of our Escape Adventures leaders.  We pride ourselves on the calibre and resourcefulness of these great people who you will be spending your holiday with.

Keeping It Really Local

We know that our most precious memories are of real people. We’ve been going to the same villages for many years. You’ll meet locals on their terms, and make friends that will seem like family when you leave.

Making a Difference

By supporting local accommodations, restaurants and small businesses we make a direct and real contribution to the economies of the areas we visit.
